What is Tamodo?

So, Tamodo is a newly launched (January 2020) affiliate network. If you are new to affiliate marketing, you may wonder what the heck is that?

If this is your case, let me bring here what Wikipedia has to say about affiliate networks:

“An affiliate network acts as an intermediary between publishers (affiliates) and merchant affiliate programs.

It allows website publishers to more easily find and participate in affiliate programs which are suitable for their website (and thus generate income from those programs) and allows websites offering affiliate programs (typically online merchants) to reach a larger audience by promoting their affiliate programs to all of the publishers participating in the affiliate network”.

In other words, an affiliate network is a place where I, as an affiliate, can register and choose to promote different brands, products, and services, according to my niche, and earn a small percentage of a sale, at no additional cost for the end customer.

On the other side, are those different companies and brands whose products and/or services I promote.

Tamodo has its own affiliate program where if I decide to be an affiliate for Tamodo, I will earn $0,25 for every new person I refer to this network.

Their official websites don’t display any information as of who is the owner of Tamodo.

No results show either a Google search on this topic.

This raises the first red flag to me and this is one of the signs that might indicate that this network is a scam.

However, I have found that the headquarters of this company is in the island nation of Malta.

Another thing that makes this program questionable is that on the “Our Story” section on their website, there is literally no story at all.

They are simply linking to less than 2 min video presentation where an unknown guy (he is not even introducing himself) tells about what is Tamodo basically is.

You can watch this video below:

Honestly, I don’t understand what the point is to link to this video since it also appears on their home page too.

This only tells me about the fact that they have no story to tell about themselves.

As of the date of this writing, Tamodo has 4 reviews on Trustpilot but if you are observant enough, you can see that all these few reviews contain affiliate links belonging to the people who wrote these reviews.

So, the impartiality of these reviews is quite doubtful.

Chances are that these people wrote their “positive” reviews to convince people to sign up with Tamodo and earn commissions off of these sign-ups.

How Tamodo Works?

As I have mentioned above, it’s free to join this affiliate network. That is a good thing right from the start and the registration process is quite simple.

All you need to do is to fill in your full name, email address, and think of a password.

They are accepting a good deal of countries, including those that are considered to be with a high risk of fraud.

This is not necessarily a bad sign. On the contrary, this may be a good opportunity for honest people from these countries to make money online.

Just a side note, some of the affiliate networks like Clickbank, for example, are not accepting members from the third world countries (like India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, etc).

There are 2 ways in which you can go to make money with Tamodo. The first one is the Tamodo affiliate program.

Once you are inside your dashboard, you will receive your individual affiliate link. Every time someone joins Tamodo using your affiliate link, you earn $0,25.

What is Tamodo? - Referral Bonus

They are giving you the possibility to earn 7 levels deep meaning that you are going to earn 5% commissions based on what your referrals are earning.

The second one is their database of merchants that are available under the Campaign tab in the Tamodo Dashboard.

They have around 60 merchants in different niches such as stocks, travel & accommodation, smart & digital products, health & medicine, relationships, etc.

One of the most popular is Airbnb, AliExpress, Avira, AviaSales, and others.

These offer 30-days cookie duration and between 2%-60%.

The Good And The Bad

PROs

Some Payment Proofs

One of the first things that come into my mind to decide if Tamodo really worths my time and effort is does it really pay?

I have found a few videos on Youtube that seem to provide that kind of proof but these were in a language I couldn’t understand.

The only video that is more or less understandable is right below:

Long Cookies Store System

This is a great thing in any affiliate program or network out there. Tamodo offers long-lasting cookies from 90 to 360 days.

What this actually means for you and me is that even if a person went through your affiliate link today but was unsure if he/she wants to join Tamodo or purchase any of the products from the merchants you were advertising for, and made up his/shes mind sometime after (even on 360 days) to make a purchase or join Tamodo, you will still get your commission for whatever action your customer has decided to make.

Newbie-Friendly

For those who don’t know anything about affiliate network or don’t have marketing skills, Tamodo helps to earn money simply by like, share banner ads, link websites to social networking sites, applications.

In addition, when joining with Tamodo, everyone can pro-actively earn more income by introducing other people to make money with Tamodo.

Tamodo pays up to 7 levels lifetime commissions when you bring other Publishers (affiliates) to this network.

CONs

Unknown Founder

As I have mentioned earlier in this post, there is no information on their official website and all around the web about who created this affiliate network.

Payment Methods

In the presentation video, they say that payments are made through different channels like Paypal, Payoneer, bank transfer, or Bitcoin wallet.

But in reality, what I have found inside the dashboard is only cryptocurrencies wallets like USDT (which is a Tether ticker symbol) and Bitcoin.

Misleading Claims about Earning Potential

Based on what they are telling us in their presentation video, the potential of earning a lot of money is huge: from 10 to 90% commissions.

But when I have been going through their database of merchants, the majority of them where listing commissions between 2% and up to 60% max.

I wanted to include some screenshots here to show you the exact merchants they are dealing with and the commission structures, but I couldn’t do that due to the following issue.

Their Website is Super Slow and Sometimes not Operational

After I have registered on their website, I have immediately observed how slow it was loading.

I don’t know which platform they are using to host it, but I had to wait sometimes minutes to go from one page to another inside my dashboard.

I wanted to take a few more pictures to show you what merchants they have agreements with, but after trying several times to log in and failed to do that, I gave up. I personally can’t imagine how it’s possible to work with that kind of service.

If you had, by any chance, experienced the same thing with Tamodo website, please leave me a comment, I would love to hear about your experience!

No Affiliate Marketing Training to Teach You How to Promote Those Merchants’ Products & Services (affiliate offers)

There is no evidence that Tamodo could teach you how to do internet marketing to promote that affiliate offers that you will find inside your dashboard if you decide to join Tamodo.

Affiliate marketing is not only about sharing your affiliate links all over the social media platforms or placing it into your blog posts.

There is so much more to it and if you don’t know how to do it right, chances are that you are not going to make any money with Tamodo and quit it very soon.

Who Is Tamodo For?

Finally, I have come to this part to tell you who can benefit from this Tamodo affiliate network.

The way as I see it, it’s not that newbie-friendly as they claim it to be.

What is Tamodo? - Is it As Newbie-Friendly As It Claims to Be?

If you choose to go with their Affiliate program and earn commissions that way, yes, it might be suitable for beginners as it’s not rocket science to share an affiliate link through your social media accounts.

At the same time, it’s good to note that most of the social media networks such as Facebook, or Pinterest, or Twitter don’t really like affiliate links so most likely you will need to set up a blog in order to be able to promote it that way.

Yes, you can still use web link shortener services like Bitly or Shorturl, or Tinyurl but these still look spammy and scammy.

I am sure you have seen plenty of these throughout social media networks.

A lot of people are doing this but this is not the best way to do it, and I am sure you don’t want to be just another person who does this.

What about the second way to make money online with Tamodo, here is where you again need good knowledge about how to market those products and services in order to be able to make those juicy commissions they are talking about in their promotional video.

My Final Opinion About Tamodo + A Better Alternative

Based on what I have explained earlier in this post, I wouldn’t recommend you wasting time working with this Tamodo network.

Even if you manage to refer people to it simply because it’s free to join, there is not much you can do with it unless you are already a master in affiliate marketing and you know how to run affiliate marketing promotional campaigns.

If this is you then yes, go ahead and sign up with Tamodo.

When I first started online, I felt like I was lacking that online marketing knowledge, and luckily, I have found an affiliate marketing training course that taught me how to do internet marketing the right way.

If you have the same feeling as I had, you may wish to check out the affiliate marketing training that has helped me build this website and learn “the art of sell without selling” online.
