Please note that I am not a Jeunesse distributor and you will not see me selling here their products.
More than that, I am not a big fan of a multi-level marketing business model.
I have been involved in the past in a few MLM companies without too much success.
After that experience, I have come to believe that this business model is not for me and you have to be the type of person to be able to succeed in this business.
Luckily enough, I have discovered for myself the affiliate marketing business model and I personally love it!
I like many aspects of it, especially that it is more passive and that it offers so much flexibility.

What is Jeunesse Global?
With the motto “Generation Young”, Jeunesse is a company that produces and sells beauty and wellness products that are designed to help look younger as well as a “life-changing” business opportunity.
Established in 2009, Jeunesse is a multi-level marketing company that nowadays operates in over 70 countries all around the globe.
If you are not quite familiar with the multi-level marketing business model, here is what Wikipedia has to say about it:
“Multi-level marketing (MLM), also called pyramid selling, network marketing, and referral marketing is a marketing strategy for the sale of products or services where the revenue of the MLM company is derived from a non-salaried workforce selling the company’s products/services, while the earnings of the participants are derived from a pyramid-shaped or binary compensation commission system”.
In other words, it is a commission-based sales activity where you are getting paid a portion of the sales you are making, as well as from the sales made by people whom you have recruited into the system.
Who Are The Founders?
Wendy and Randy are a lovely 70 years old couple who have been successful in other enterprises throughout their lives.
When the time to retire came, instead of enjoying a well-deserved rest, they have decided to found Jeunesse Global.
Wendy was a math teacher before she met Randy who was born and been raised in a poor family but had some ambitious goals of becoming a millionaire and traveling the world.
Prior to establishing Jeunesse Global, they have been successfully involved in other multi-level marketing companies, one of them is Fuel Freedom International and Alpha Computer Services.
If you are seriously thinking of starting a multi-level marketing business, I think it’s quite important to, first of all, know the people who stand behind the particular company you are eventually planning to go with.
In the video below, you can meet Wendy and Randy and get to know them better:
How Jeunesse Global Works? – Jeunesse Compensation Plan
First of all, joining Jeunesse Global is by invitation only meaning that it’s necessary for you to be referred by someone who is already on the team.
This makes the opportunity not quite available at your fingertips and if you want to go with Jeunesse necessarily, you may wish to make a bit of research to find a person who will be assigned as your sponsor.
In this sense, Monat Global is more flexible as they have a system that finds that person for you if eventually you haven’t been referred by any specific person.
Anyway, I think this shouldn’t be a big issue and I assume that if you make a call to their office, they should resolve this issue for you very quickly by finding a person to assign from your geographical area.
Next, let’s see how you are going to make money with Jeunesse.
According to their Compensation Plan, there are six ways in which you can make profits:
A. Retail Commissions
Normally, when you sign up with Jeunesse, you automatically get up to a 35% discount on any products you buy.
If you would sell these products to other people out there, the price for them would be 35% higher, and the difference will be your profit.
In a real-life example. it would look like this: you buy the product from Jeunesse for, let’s say, $50.
Then, you have a customer who eventually wants to buy this product from you, and you sell it for $80. In this case, you are earning $30.
B. First Order Bonuses
When you decide to join Jeunesse, you are offered optional packages that include various quantities of products.
Each package is assigned a new customer acquisition bonus. There are four packages ranging between $25-$250 bonuses.
When you are selling Jeunesse products, you are earning points, and once you get to 100 points, you then become a Distributor and this is where starting your own business begins.
Here you are going to be building your own team by signing them up underneath you. You earn a bonus when one of your new members places a product order.
The First Order Bonus ranges from $25-$200 and the size of the bonus depends on how many products you sell.
C. Team Commissions
This is where your earning potential is supposed to get up. Your goal is to find people who love Jeunesse products and share the same vision and passion as you, who also share the products and opportunity.
When you start, you will build two teams: one on your right, and one on your left. As your team grows, you earn points based on the products that your team members are purchasing.
The more products your team sells, the more team commissions you earn. Thus, when your left team reaches 600 points and your right team – 300 points, you earn $35 team commissions.
D. Leadership Matching Bonus
This is where you are going to be rewarded for being a leader for your team.
The more successful you are in training your team members, the more successful they’ll be at selling the products, and the more you will earn.
Thus, you are getting paid 20% of your first level team members commissions.
For example, if one of the people in your first level makes $1000 per month, you are getting paid $200 for your efforts to support and teach that person how to make more sales.
There is no limit to how many people you can bring in your first level, and the more people are serious about this business and the more attention you pay to them to train them in terms of sales, the more opportunities for you to make more money with Jeunesse.
These go 7 levels deep and here is the commissions’ structure:
E. Customer Acquisition Incentive
When you have 5 active customers in a month, your leadership Matching Bonus increases from 20% to 25% on your first level team match.
If you have 10 active customers in a month, that bonus increases to 30%.
F. Diamond Pool
This is a shared bonus pool, made from 3% of the company’s global product volume.
This is divided up based on the shares, each Diamond leader has accumulated.
The Good And The Bad
#1. Legitimate Business
I have seen people are calling Jeunesse a scam since they have been facing some issues with their customer service that, for unknown reasons, didn’t respond to the calls and inquiries about the product.
In my opinion, though, this is not enough to call Jeunesse a scam.
There are other important things indicating that a company, a product or service, is a scam or not, and I will dedicate another blog post to this topic anytime in the near future.
Furthermore, Jeunesse has been in business for more than a decade now which is a good sign, taking into consideration that most of the MLM companies out there fail before they hit the 5-year mark.
#2. Winner of Numerous Awards
In its more than a decade of operation, Jeunesse Global has managed to gain more than 600 awards in different categories, including multiple Stevie Awards, Entrepreneur of the Year, Company of the Year, and many more.
#3. Money-Back Guarantee
Taking into account the existence of different complaints stating that “product doesn’t work”, it’s good to know that Jeunesse offers a 100% money-back guarantee to all its customers and distributors.
Thus, you or your customer are free to return it for a full refund.
This guarantee is applicable within a period of 30 days from the day of purchase.
#1. High Start-up Costs
Paying an annual registration fee might seem not a big deal but what they are not telling you upfront is that the Starter Kits that are said to you are optional, in fact, are indirect necessities because how are you going to promote and sell Jeunesse products without product samples?
The pricier Starter Kit you buy, the more products are included, and therefore, more opportunities for you to get to know Jeunesse products better, which should lead to you making more sales!
#2. Complaints about Jeunesse Products/Service
According to the Better Business Bureau, there have been 18 complaints in total in the last 3 years.
If to compare with some other MLM companies out there, this is a relatively low number.
At the same time, it worths taking these complaints into consideration when making a final decision about joining Jeunesse Global or not.
#2. Beware of Lawsuits
Numerous lawsuits against Jeunesse Global were filed between 2016-2018, calling it a pyramid scheme.
To make clear what a pyramid scheme is, let’s take a look to a definition according to Wikipedia:
“A pyramid scheme is a business model that recruits members via a promise of payments or services for enrolling others into the scheme, rather than supplying investments or sale of products.
As recruiting multiplies, recruiting becomes quickly impossible, and most members are unable to profit; as such, pyramid schemes are unsustainable and often illegal.”
Given the fact that Jeunesse has products that you can sell to other people and make money that way (not only through recruiting them to join Jeunesse), respectively, Jeunesse couldn’t be considered a pyramid scheme.
Still, it’s good to take into consideration that Jeunesse has that kind of lawsuits when making a final decision whether to join Jeunesse company or not.
#3. Jeunesse Products Available on Amazon, for a Smaller Price
For example, this Luminesce Jeunesse Cellular Rejuvenation Serum is sold on Jeunesse official website for $87.95.
That same product, Luminesce Jeunesse Cellular Rejuvenation Serum could be easily found for sale on Amazon, almost twenty bucks less than on Jeunesse’s official website.
Overall, the MLM business model could be quite challenging to do for some of the people out there.
And with that availability of products on other online selling platforms, it makes it even more challenging.
I think it will be quite difficult to sell these products in these conditions.
What do you personally think? Let me know in the comments!
Can You Make Money With Jeunesse Global?
No doubt, there are people who are making money with Jeunesse.
Otherwise, how they would survive until nowadays, earning $1.46 billion in worldwide annual sales for 2018?
The question is if you can make money with them? To get an answer, let’s take a look at Jeunesse’s Income Disclosure Statement I have found for 2014:
From this chart, we can see that almost 20% of Distributors are not making money at all, and the majority part of the Jeunesse distributors have made up to $1 000 in one year.
I think it’s not enough to pay your bills for the whole year, right?
Who Is Jeunesse Global For?
In my opinion, Jeunesse Global is for you if you tried their products and like them, personally constantly use them and can make a sincere recommendation to your friends or relatives (without annoying them too much, though!).
This way you can make some extra income, or even a full-time income, if you feel like an MLM business model is right for you.
My Final Opinion About Jeunesse Global + A Better Alternative
I personally think that Jeunesse Global is not a bad MLM company, and if you are a fan of selling skincare and wellness products, you can definitely join it to realize your abilities as a salesperson.
But if you are like me and this whole MLM thing is not your style, then I have good news for you!
Did you know that you could have your own online business selling anything you like without having to meet and, most importantly, convince to buy anybody out there?
This is what I do and you could do the same!
