What is Authority Hacker?

So, based on my research, Authority Hacker is a brand that was created by Gael Breton and Mark Webster.

Under this brand, they are selling their online training courses on authority websites and affiliate marketing.

It was established in 2014 and there are actually three pieces of training:

The Authority Site System (TASS), Authority Hacker PRO (AH PRO), The Shotgun Skyscraper Blueprint – which are more advanced and I will get into each of them in detail further in this post.

Overall, it is a step-by-step training on how to create authority websites that earn 4 figures per month and more.

Therefore, it’s based on the Authority Site Business Model.

If you are eventually wondering what is an authority site means, here is an explanation I have found on the Authority Hacker website:

Authority Hacker is featured on such authoritative web sources like ahrefs.com, Elementor, Hubspot, The Huffington Post, and Sumo.com.

Here is what other reputable figures in the industry have to say about Authority Hacker:

Who Are The Founders? What is Authority Hacker? - The Founders

This affiliate marketing training was created by two established affiliate marketers, Gael Breton and Mark Webster, who have started their online journey in 2009.

Before they have founded their affiliate marketing and authority websites training course in 2014, they have built a lot of authority websites that generated them millions of income.

“Since 2013, we have started and grown our own portfolio of authority sites that have generated millions of dollars in revenue.

Getting here wasn’t easy. Along the way, we made hundreds of mistakes that cost us time and money. Throughout this journey, the one constant has been our passion for learning”. – Source Authority Hacker

What is Authority Hacker? - Gael Breton

Who is Gael Breton?

Gael Breton is one of the co-founders of Authority Hacker.

He is originated from France, Normandy, and he is also the author of blog posts and articles on their website, as well as he is the tutor for the most part of the Authority Site System lessons.

If you want to know more about his background, take a look at the screenshot about his Bio from their website:

here is Gael talking about SEO at Harvard Business School back in 2013:

Mark Webster is the other co-founder of Authority Hacker.

He is holding the other part of lessons in the Authority Site System. Mark is originally from Scotland, Aberdeen.

Here is what I have found about his previous experience, also from their website:

If you would like to get to know Mark better, watch this interview with Mark by Miles Beckler:

Therefore, it seems like they are teaching stuff based on their own experience, which is a good thing, in my opinion.

They run their blog where they cover topics like blogging, affiliate marketing, funnels, WordPress, as well as you can find some of their case studies too.

How Authority Hacker Works?

As I have said earlier, there are three pieces of training inside Authority Hacker: The Authority Site System (TASS), Authority Hacker PRO (AH PRO) which is an upgraded version, and The Shotgun Skyscraper Blueprint, which is even more advanced than the AH PRO.

The Authority Site System

What is Authority Hacker? - The Authority Site System Presentation

But let’s go through each of them step-by-step.

So, the first one is the Authority Site System and it was designed for people who never built an authority website and are totally newbies to this business model.

Before you dive into the Authority Site System, you are invited to take the free webinar which explains, in a nutshell, the basics and principles of an authority website and how you can money with it.

Here is a screenshot I have taken from their approx. 1.30 hours long free webinar:

What is Authority Hacker? - Free Webinar

Basically, it explains how you can build an authority website with the purpose of its monetization through affiliate marketing, placing ads on your website, and selling your own products.

If you like the idea and this is something you would like to do, you are then invited to take the Authority Site System which is a $997 one time fee.

If you watch the webinar till the end, Gael and Mark will offer you a discount of $398 off the original price.

The Authority Site System focuses on two main things:

#1. SEO technics and strategies to drive visitors to your authority website

If you are new to SEO, let me quickly explain that it’s a free source of Google and other search engine traffic that you can acquire as a result of specific actions on your website back end.

It also implies using specific keywords that actually drives those highly targeted visitors to your website.

#2. Affiliate Marketing

This is the way that you are going to learn and use to monetize the traffic.

The Authority Site System will teach you how to find and sign up for affiliate programs and networks like Amazon Associates and others of that kind, how to select good quality products to promote to your audience.

When you have a lot of visitors coming to your website, they are searching for a solution to their problems and issues, and if you can efficiently provide them with the solutions they are looking for, they are most likely to buy through your individual affiliate links.

The Authority Site System training consists of 6 core modules with over 50 lessons included.

 Authority Hacker Facebook Mastermind

Actually, they have two Facebook Mastermind Groups available for members-only: one for the Authority Site System and another for AH PRO.

In these groups, if you decide to buy one of the two courses or both, you will have the possibility to ask Mark and Gael your questions, as well as get help from other members of the community.

Here is how the Authority Site System Facebook Mastermind Group looks like:

The community, as of the date of this writing, and as it shows in the screenshot I have taken (sorry it says in Russian:) has 2 171 members and 8 new posts.

The training itself is provided in both written format as well as video tutorials, and it’s really easy to follow.

Also, they provide website templates that they have built and made money with so you can have real examples of making money websites.

At the end of each lesson, they include tasks for you to do so it’s a process of learning by doing at the same time. They are using the Trello To-Do System which is a project management system that helps you stay organized and helps you keep on track.

Authority Hacker PRO (AH PRO)

In fact, if to be more precise, this advanced training Authority Hacker PRO was designed even before the Authority Site System (TASS).

But because the creators have noticed that most of the people out there lack basic knowledge on authority websites and affiliate marketing, Authority Hacker PRO seemed to be overwhelming and this is how the Authority Site System “was born”.

What is Authority Hacker? - Authority Hacker PRO Presentation

Currently, the doors to enter the Authority Hacker PRO are open only twice per year, and there is a limited time period like 2 weeks when you can join.

However, you can jump onto their waiting list and they will notify you by email when they open their applications.

If you decide to buy the AH PRO, you will get the Authority Site System training included in the offer (which is $997 one time fee if to buy it separately).

AH PRO is not a static course, it is constantly supplemented with ongoing webinars which you will find in your dashboard.

There are topics in the AH PRO that they have already touched in the Authority Site System but in the AH PRO Blueprints, they go into them super-super deep and advanced.

Therefore, they continue to teach you about the following topics:

  • Content Marketing and SEO

  • they go into Email Marketing (which is a great way to build a relationship with your website visitors)

  • Social Media Marketing (focused on Pinterest)

  • Monetization part (they teach how to set up highly efficient sales funnels for info products and membership sites using the power of scarcity on autopilot).

Among other things, you will find in this advanced training is how and where to sell your authority websites if you are eventually looking to build several websites of this kind with the purpose of selling them.

Moreover, they have included training on leveraging and outsourcing.

If you are looking to build a team or set up an affiliate program, you can learn from their own experience as a lot of the work and content they have on their website is outsourced.

The Shotgun Skyscraper Blueprint

This third training of Authority Hacker is a pretty new product, it has only been added last year (on May 8th, 2019).

Same as the AH PRO, it is available for purchase only on limited time frames like a week or so.

It was available during Black Friday 2019 too, so this is time periods when you may wish to look to purchase this training if you are interested.

What is Authority Hacker? - The Shortgun Skyscraper Blueprint Presentation

Essentially, what is this training about is link building tactic (called “white hat link building”) that allows you to build a lot of links very quickly, pretty much by blasting a lot of emails to webmasters, using software with a minimal amount of effort to get links.

So, to break down the overall strategy, you build a piece of high-quality content on a topic that other sites are already linking to, and then you email those sites and ask them to link back to your site too.

The Shotgun Skyscraper Blueprint is about how to implement all these steps involved.

Let’s take a quick look at the 7 modules included in this Shotgun Skyscraper Blueprint:

Module 1 – Shotgun Skyscraper 101

Basically, this is an introduction to the whole training where Mark will explain it in a nutshell and what exactly you are going to be doing and why this training is so effective.

Module 2 – Keywords&Content

Here you are going to be using ahrefs.com to look up different content that you can create and then, different blogs that have similar content, and use that to contact those websites so that they can link back to your website.

Module 3 – Gathering Prospects

In this module, you are also going to be using data from ahrefs.com and also, there are a few different software (like hunter.io that is for gathering those webmasters’ email addresses) that you need in order to implement the Shotgun Skyscraper strategy and approach work.

Module 4 – Data Management

This is the module where things get really in-depth.

So, this is where you are going to need to get really organized.

You are going to get your excel, your Google sheets, to sort all the data that you are going to be gathering and keep it in a way that will be easily accessible.

This will give you quick insights to whom you have already sent your emails and to whom not, so you are not finding yourself spamming those people’s emails.

Module 5 – Initial Outreach

If you have that feeling that you interfere in other people’s lives and work when you are sending out your business emails, this module is going to teach you how to send out mass emails to your prospects in a safe way.

They provide you with email templates you can use to create your first email campaign, catchy email subjects, and follow-ups.

Module 6 – Negotiation

When you will start getting different responses back to your emails, people may actually offer you to buy links from them, or give you a whole bunch of reasons why they can’t and won’t link to your website.

So this module will go through many different types of responses you may receive and will teach you how to efficiently negotiate a link placement or something that is beneficial to you and your website.

Module 7 – Advanced Tactics

There is no particular topic for this module but it covers 12 different advanced tactics about how you can improve your link building strategy.

Going further, when you master this white hat link building strategy, you are in a position where you can build a business out of this and offers link building services to your potential clients.

Regular Webinars

If you have kept your eye at least for a while, you may have noticed that Internet Marketing is a thing that constantly changes and evolves.

That is why it is always good and recommended to keep your hands on its pulse in order to be aware of all the latest changes.

Gael and Mark keep you up to date about these in their regular live webinars.

This is where you can get feedback from Gael and Mark and ask your questions. They hold this webinar at least once per month, sometimes every week.

They are giving you templates which you can use to plug and play with your own information and stuff.

You can see in the screenshot below which categories are covered:

HARO stands for Help a Reporter Out and it’s a powerful marketing tool to increase brand awareness.

The Good And The Bad

Legitimate Course

The Authority Hacker training was created by real people and is owned and sold by a registered company which is Judgement Media Ltd.

Therefore, it’s no doubt that it is a legitimate product.

30 Days Money-Back Guarantee

You can learn about their Refund Policy in this screenshot I have taken from their official website:

What is Authority Hacker? - Refund Policy

While it is a very well structured and elaborate training course with a lot of value, still it remains very expensive and not affordable to everyone out there.

I have been reading over the internet lately that pricing is going to increase to somewhere around $3,000, led with a front-end payment plan of $299 per month, or something close to that.

Not Available All the Time

As I have mentioned earlier in this post, the advanced pieces of training of Authority Hacker are not available all year round.

So if you want to learn the advanced techniques and strategies, you will have to wait and have your eye on the time periods when it becomes available for joining.

Who Is Authority Hacker For?

Based on what I have explained above, this training from Authority Hacker was designed for both beginners and pros.

If you are a complete newbie to affiliate marketing and have never built an authority website, you should start with, obviously, Authority Site System.

If you feel like you are a little more advanced level, you should go with AH PRO, and because in this case, the Authority Site System comes as a bonus, you can also use it and refresh your knowledge.

My Final Opinion About Authority Hacker + A Better Alternative

Gael and Mark definitely did a great job putting together their experience in this training program.

They offer up to 295 lessons inside and I am sure they have a great value to provide, even though I haven’t taken this training myself.

At the same time, as I have mentioned earlier in this post, this is an expensive training.

Not anyone can afford to pay that amount of money but I always like to stress that it’s not the reason to stop learning and constantly improve yourself, your skills, and knowledge.

I want to say that there is a way less costly, but NOT less efficient training program I have taken myself.

It is due to this affiliate marketing training program I have been able to learn a lot about what is affiliate marketing and how it works, I have set up my first affiliate website and made my first sales online!

This training is very newbie-friendly but at the same time, it includes advanced technics and strategies.

So anyone out there is able to learn new things about Internet Marketing, authority websites, niche research, branding, SEO marketing, Social Media Marketing, Email Marketing, etc., etc.

I think I can endlessly talk about this training but it’s better for you to check it out yourself, and the good news is that you can actually try it out for completely FREE.

Yes, you’ve heard it right, and this is something that you can barely find somewhere else.

With your free account, you get 1 website hosted on their own platform, which you can start building right away and make money with it.

  1. Wow, Natalie, this is one of the best reviews I have read in a long time.

I have not heard of authority hacker at all but it actually sounds like a great program.

Thank you for letting me know that there are other affiliate programs out there that can be an option.

  2. Excellent review….detailed and thorough.

I followed the link to your Wealthy affiliate review as well…again really detailed.

    Thanks for the information!

  3. Hi Natalie,

This is a robust exposition of this training package – Authority Hacker.

I didn’t know a thing about Authority Hacker before reading your piece however I have come away knowing so much – thank you:)

I have also learned more about back-links when you discussed the white-hat link strategies.

What are your views on this white-hat linking practice?

    • Hi, Femi,

Thank you for reading, I am glad you have learned something new from my article.

To answer your question about this white-hat backlink building technique, I personally think it is not really worth spending your time doing this for 2 reasons:

      1) it takes a lot of time to find all this data and reach out to those authoritative websites, and then to wait for the feedback which may not even come. Therefore, it leads me to the second reason which is:

      2) these authority websites don’t have any incentive to link back to your website and share with you their traffic (at least if you want to ever hear from them, you must show them why would they be interested in linking back to your website).

Therefore, unless you have that special deal to offer to these websites’ owners, I don’t think it worths spending time on this technique and it’s much better to focus more on creating high-quality content that people will love and enjoy.

When people spend time on your website, it tells Google that the content is interesting and engaging and this will lead to better rankings in Google.

More pieces of content mean more doors for your potential visitors to enter your website.

The better quality you provide within your articles and blog posts, the more chances for you to get those backlinks without having to even ask for them.

      I hope this helps!

      Best Wishes,

  4. Hey,

Great review. I had never heard of What is Authority Hacker, but now I do.

I don’t think this is something I will invest in, but if anyone ever asks me about it, I am going to send them straight to your site.

    Keep up the great work.

    All the best,
